AVATAR - THE LAST AIRBENDER

2023 was a big ramp-up for me as I supervised 3 big projects with overall around 250 VFX shots with the notorious team of
BigHug FX. The biggest project was this one, where I had the honor to direct the comp team to complete around 80 shots for the new NETFLIX show - we provided VFX for all 8 episodes.

BLACK ADAM

As a result of my continuous freelance work for Scanline VFX I was awarded to SUPERVISE a comp team of 15 international compositors to complete a sequence of 80 shots for the major blockbuster BLACK ADAM.

RHEINGOLD

As part of a small comp team I contributed all major VFX shots for the latest film of german movie icon Fatih Akin.

MS. MARVEL

Joining the talented team at TRIXTER - I contributed various VFX compositing shots to the latest DISNEY+ show "Ms Marvel".

L A N D  R O V E R - A B O V E & B E Y O N D

For a change I dove into the magic land of commercials once again. One of three commercials I worked on in late 2021 with the incredible team of Electric Theatre Collective (ETC) London.
Containing heaps of 2.5D Matte Paintings, Set Extensions and tricky retouch work, I contributed to most of the shots seen in the commercial. Most work went into the panoramic island shots, which were generated 100% in compositing (NUKE).

E T E R N A L S - The latest addition to the Marvel Universe was directed by last year's academy award winner Chloé Zao and will hit cinemas end of this year. Enjoy a sneak peak with the fresh out of the box trailer, which contains some of my shots I created with SCANLINE VFX!

STRANGER THINGS are back by Independence Day, and better than ever.  Enjoy my latest work with the amazing team at SCANLINE VFX. We did some really tricky and complex VFX sequences in Episodes 5, 6 and 8 - in the basement of STARCOURT, where a giant secret awaits our heroes. Episode's 6 opening shot is mine for example!

I had the honor of working on the worlds most successful series - GAME OF THRONES. The final Season features epic battles and the death of many beloved characters. At SCANLINE VFX I worked on over 20 highly complex shots including green screen work, heavy CG FX with deep compositing and some beautiful set extensions / matte painting integrations - and even a fire spitting dragon.

Now playing on HBO or SKY in Germany. Don't miss Episode 5, in an epic fight between two well known characters with a surprising outcome -  that's where all my shots are featured.

If you have some spare time in between running last christmas errands, go to your local cinema next week and check out my latest work on the new BUMBLEBEE! Directed by Travis Knight ("Kubo and the two Strings") this prequel is supposedly better than all Transformer movies before. I had the pleasure to contribute over 50 Shots, including LookDev, CG Integration with Deep Compositing, set extensions and some challenging blue / green screen work.

Five people will try to fulfill the destiny of eight billion - the first visit to mars.

Teaming up with the incredibly talented team of SCANLINE VFX, I had the pleasure of working on the latest Show

of US streaming service HULU. Full CG work in 4K and (deep) compositing tasks including space rocket starts, outer space scenes and scenes within the spaceships, in superb quality:  THE FIRST premieres September 14 2018 on HULU.

My last project with LIGA01 included On Set / VFX Supervision and Lead Compositing for a crowd funded international horror movie raising 500.000 USD and celebrating its premiere at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

We created the CG creature for the segment "A Nocturnal Breath", a mutated mouse feeding on peoples tortured souls.

In november 2017 I joined the talented team of TRIXTER in Berlin and first off we did this seasonly christmas commercial for Mercedes-Benz. Integrating future Mercedes models, drones and gadgets, adding a future city matte painting and adding Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, who was shot in a green screen studio, were the exciting tasks in my latest project.

In september 2017 I had the pleasure to work on this exciting new trailer for german tv station ZDF at LIGA01.

Footage of the athletes, full CG stadium, crowd and graphics had to be integraded into a seamless whole.

I supervised this project from first storyboard, over set supervision, to the final approval and worked on 

my own compositing shots.
